Finance Manager - Expense Management (1 Year Contract)

My client is looking to bring on an experienced, quick-learner (preferably from Life Insurance), to take on the role as Expense Manager. This person will support any expense governance and management processes for my client. He/she will produce financial information/analysis to support the business' decisions for the next year.

Responsibilities

  • Set up SLA agreement and recharges from intercompanies
  • Monitor fixed assets end-to-end processes and control
  • Control month end accrual processes, transfers, recharging, cost allocation and other monthly routines
  • Support analytical review and identify underlying expense trends and business dynamics
  • Assist budgeting and forecasting processes, compiling detailed reports and cost information to ensure customer groups are aware of their cost projections
  • Assist in development and production of monthly Cost Board packs
  • Responsible for quarterly Provisions and key judgements update
  • Support an analysis of expenses for a IFRS 17 pilot on a tranche of the business

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree on Accountancy with professional qualification
  • Financial analysis skills including reconciliation, variance analysis
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience inexpense management and budgeting for insurance companies
