Financial Analyst / Assistant Accountant

  • Bachelor degree holder in Finance or Accounting with a sharp
analytical mind
  • Minimum 3 years working experience preferably in MNC's or
international audit firms
  • A detail-oriented critical thinker with strong business sense, able to
analyse the correlation between facts and figures and explain
fluctuations and variances, in order to support the business cases
  • Solid interpersonal skills with experience in developing and
maintaining effective business relationships with various levels of
the organisation
  • Experience in using database/reporting applications, preferably Access
and SQL
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel ability
  • Sound knowledge in financial reporting / statutory requirements
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese
  • Mature, articulated, well-organised, responsible, detail-minded and
self-motivated team member
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently
  • This position requires occasional travel to network locations

Job Duties:
  • seeking a Financial Analyst / Assistant Accountant for our Accounts &
Finance Department. The incumbent will be engaged in analysing
financial data from over 130 network locations, preparing monthly
financial reports and participating in business decision for tenders
and new investment opportunities. The incumbent should own both
functional and technical skills and knowledge to do the job, and will
report directly to CFO / Senior Finance Analyst
  • Prepare and maintain the forecast and budget for new investment
opportunities and tenders, making sure impacts are captured from
changing business strategies
  • Perform various analytical sensitivity tests and reporting tasks
  • Execute all monthly reporting requirements and analyses, whilst
ensuring deadlines are met
  • Operate and control databases used to support and evaluate business
initiatives
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding and knowledge to assist in
reporting, identifying improvements, and supporting strategic
initiatives
  • Act as a liaison and support the team by establishing relationships
and working with other business partners (both internal and external)
to identify business opportunities and associated risks
  • Participate in monthly forecast vs. actual reviews with the management
and cross functional teams, and prepare monthly summary / presentation
to the Management and Board of Directors
  • Respond to ad-hoc reporting and analysis requests from business units
and support special projects in a timely manner
  • Analyse business opportunities and existing operations by formulating
multiple-financial models from different perspectives
  • Gain deep understanding of the end to end business process, engage in
business units to understand and interpret the business requirements
