Job Scope

The incumbent is required to implement the Financial Risk Framework under the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Guideline of the Insurance Authority of Hong Kong. He/she will be reporting to the Chief Risk Officer in support of the Risk Management function to implement the risk appetite process, ensure improvement on the Risk Assessment & Control Process and report the entity’s financial risks which include Market Risk, Credit Risk and Liquidity Risk on a regular basis.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support in implementing the financial risk management framework, policies and procedures appropriate for the nature, scale and complexity of the entity’s business activities;
  • Help business units in risk projects to identify, assess, measure, mitigate and monitor financial risks so that any experienced losses are within tolerance limits;
  • Involve with business risk owners for conducting risk measurement and stress testing, tracking of key risk indicators, and monitoring the validity of risk modelling outputs;
  • Support risk management to analyse key risk issues and mitigating factors of investments and new products or initiatives which would have impact on the solvency, liquidity and capital adequacy;
  • Maintain input or data quality of risk management systems and timely communicate any remediation plans to the relevant risk owners;
  • Work closely with risk owners for escalating key risk issues to senior management, risk committee & board of directors to promote and sustain sound risk culture;
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor to meet any ad-hoc requirements.



  • Degree holder in Finance, Econometrics or related disciplines;
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in financial/insurance risk management is an advantage;
  • Qualification in financial risk management such as FRM or CFA is preferred;
  • Strong problem-solving, effective communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance as well as a team player
  • Strong command of written and spoken Chinese and English.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (9:00am – 6:00pm)
