About this company

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure sufficient overall services delivered by staff to meet service pledge.
  • Oversee, supervise and ensure smooth running of Investor Services and Trade Support, and ensure that any outstanding issues and problems on late and failed settlement and shareholder services are rectified within reasonable time frame and effectively.
  • Review statistics of report delivery and activities of accounts and ensure timeliness and accuracy thereof.
  • Monitor service level of service vendor, custodians and fund managers on a regular basis. Supervise the trade support team to ensure services are delivered in a professional manner.
  • Look for improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency via automation or process streamlining such as increase the straight through rate, minimize failed trades rates etc.
  • Authorize trades, FX, cash and unit trust transactions for and on behalf of Fund Services in accordance with procedures and policies in BCT and Fund Services.
  • Co-ordinate and monitor the “take-on" process to minimize documentation, fiduciary, credit and operational risks and ensure that risk management procedures are in place, including accuracy of compliance checklist.
  • Manage the account take-on process for new clients on an operational level as well as conduct operation and document review for existing clients.
  • Ensure external audit requirements for unit trust, MPF master trusts and ORSO schemes are properly prepared for auditors and sufficient risk management procedures and documentation are in place.
  • Maintain and enhance standards and knowledge of staff – upskill management staff regularly, and conduct procedural training regularly, including system training on PORTIA, Performa, ERPex and other BCT proprietary systems, workflow and procedures.
  • Work with Department Head to implement new policies and procedures and reports issues/problems surfaced to department head.
  • Take up tasks and lead projects as assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in business related discipline, preferably in finance or accounting.
  • Minimum 10 years’ relevant work experience in fund management or related industry and in a senior position.
  • Professional qualification in Accountancy.
  • Knowledge of MPF Regulation, Code on Unit Trust and Mutual Funds, SFC Code of Conduct, AEOI KYC AML procedures, FATCA and CRS regulation and reporting procedures.
  • Familiar with SUN, PORTIA, Performa, ERPex or other similar systems.
  • Good PC knowledge in EXCEL and MS Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills and strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
