Pret is growing and inviting experienced Food Technical Executive to join our fun loving, energetic and passionate team in Hong Kong.

In summary this role focuses on ensuring that all products are safe, legal and comply with the mission statement.

The Food Technical Executive will manage the product specifications so that all ingredients have complete and up to date specifications which are easily accessible, manage the shelf life process and ensure that shelf life for all new ingredients has been agreed prior to new product launch.

This role will also manage our food supplier by reviewing the amount of foreign bodies received in the business and managing any reduction programmes put into place.

The role will be required to remain up to date with legal changes affecting Pret and to manage the flow of that information into the business, ensuring that Pret complies within the relevant timescales.

Required Skills / Knowledge:
• Degree holder in Food Science, Food and Nutrition or related disciplines
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the food technical roles in F&B sector
• In depth knowledge of additives and food chemistry
• Empathy with natural, fresh food and nutrition
• Knowledge of HK food law and regulation requirements
• Good level of spoken and written Cantonese and English is essential
