Based in Hong Kong, the Fund Accountant reports directly to Management and is responsible for the administration of a club investment scheme of more than 80 investments, with more than 50 investors The Fund Accountant is responsible for the day to day management and execution of the fund investment administration, cash management, investor relations, reporting and ongoing development of the function


Day to day fund investment administration:

  • Plan, schedule and manage the daily workflows
  • Prepare and control daily cash movements
  • Daily reconciliation of cash ledger
  • Accurate data inputs into the fund administration system
  • Review Net Asset Value and Financial Statements and prepare financial statements and performance analysis
  • First point of contact for any investor or potential investor queries
  • Manage relationships with fund managers and investors to ensure continued confidence in the service being provided
  • Meet deliverables and comply with operational procedures and compliance standards

Reporting and compliance:

  • Produce timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Liaise with taxation advisors (UK and US)
  • Perform compliance and KYC procedures for investors
  • Prepare regulatory filings (taxation and company secretarial)
  • Work with Management to establish new investment vehicles

Development of function:

  • Review processes and procedures with a view to improving or reengineering
  • Develop ideas for new products and services to better meet client needs
  • Manage and train an administrative assistant so as to ensure the delivery of high quality fund administration services


  • The successful applicant will have the following qualifications and skills:
  • Educated to degree level
  • Qualified CA/CPA/ACCA
  • Minimum 3 years of fund administration and partnership accounting experience
  • Exposure to UK & US taxation of partnerships and individuals
  • Fluent in the English language both written and spoken
  • IT literate with skills in Excel essential
  • Strong management, planning and organisational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and excellent stakeholder management up to Board level
  • Ability to manage time effectively and to work to deadlines
  • Self-starter and proven ability to work independently
