Hang Seng's Investment Services business offers a full spectrum of investment products and services to both private and corporate investors. Our customers can invest in over 400 investment funds managed by reputable international fund houses. The funds cover different asset classes, including global equities, bonds, money markets and foreign exchange markets. We also provide asset management services for retirement schemes, institutional investors and charitable organisations.

 

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Fund Manager, Indexing.

 

Principal responsibilities

  • Manage relevant index tracking portfolios including ETFs, index funds, and institutional portfolios
  • Responsible for daily portfolio construction and rebalancing activities
  • Construct models and identify trading strategies to minimize tracking error relative to respective benchmarks
  • Conduct research and feasibility studies on new products to support business growth
  • Regular meeting with clients for performance review
  • Work closely with the Product Specialist team and Sales team to support asset growth and client servicing
  • Adhere with stringent monitoring procedures and highest standard of compliance

Requirements

  • University degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or a related discipline. CFA designation preferable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant investment experience in passive portfolios in reputable and established financial institutions.
  • Alternatively, relevant experience gained from the financial index industry will also be considered.
  • Solid knowledge of index methodologies, portfolio construction, risk models and ETP markets.
  • Solid knowledge of investment compliance and risk management.
  • Shown strong situation awareness, strong desire to learn and able to work in Agile environment
  • Resilience to stress, able to unlock full potential and prepare for the future of work
  • Able to communicate effectively with good interpersonal skills
  • Strong self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, Chinese and Mandarin
