REPORT TO: Quality Control Manager


  • To handle special quality related tasks
  • To support in quality assurance issues during sourcing, manufacturing and before shipment of furniture to Migros special stores
  • In cooperation with quality responsible personnel in Switzerland Headquarters and merchandisers in Hong Kong on supervising and fulfilling, sample sealing, inspections and quality controls of new supplier factories prior to cooperation/merchandising by assessment at Q level (QA, Performance, Hygiene, Traceability etc.).
  • Ensure checklist preparation with information out of sample checks, specifications and lab tests
  • To perform inline inspections, FFIs and FRIs and finish the report after inspections
  • To support and monitor activities of sub-contractor inspection companies
  • To support finishing the product documents including Technical Description (TD), Assembly Instruction (AI) and Packing Instruction (PI)
  • To support Quality Control administration of other non-food articles when needed


  • Degree or territory education graduated
  • Minimum 3 years of solid experience on quality control and/or quality assurance on furniture items
  • Solid knowledge of furniture safety requirements in Europe markets esp. Switzerland
  • Experience in multi-national sourcing/buying office and/or laboratory is a MUST
  • Have interest in other topics such as non-food articles
  • Pro-active and willing to take initiative
  • Detailed-minded and good time management skill
  • Well communicative with good negotiation and interpersonal skill
  • Able to work independent and also a good team player
  • Proficient on both verbal and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
  • Conversant with MS Office 2010 (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint), PDF software
  • Frequent travelling is required (up to 50% of the time, mainly in China)
