Job Description


The Global Private Bank (GPB) Platform Business Management Team supports the business platform for the Asia region. This team plays an important role to manage both run-the-bank and change-the-bank business agenda, participates in projects, initiatives to drive the growth of the Private Bank business, and support execution of the strategic business objectives for the senior stakeholders. This team also partners with Legal, Compliance, and Risk & Control to define and implement solutions to comply with new regulations and business requirements across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

Job Description:

The individual in this role will be part of the Platform Business Management team to provide support, own and manage part of the run-the-bank and change-the-bank business agenda. The individual will help executing initiatives across the business platforms, focusing on the continued success and innovation of Global Private Bank.

The run-the bank agenda and initiatives will cover diverse subject matter, manage business changes, design new / enhance existing business processes, maintain overall business sustainability and achieve effective governance. There are also projects and changes to meet local regulatory requirements and support our risk and control agenda.

Success will requires working collaboratively within the Finance and Business Management unit, cross functions including both front office, support functions, operations and technology, senior management, stakeholders across private bank business, in the region and also across EMEA and Latin America teams when required. Responsibilities will inevitably extend from areas mentioned into others.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the business platform, help managing the run-the-bank book of work and collaborate with other Business Managers, Front Office and Support functions and key business stakeholders to ensure proper business governance, platform sustainability and regulatory requirements maintained
  • Process innovation, improvement and implementation to achieve efficiency, enhance productivity and client experiences
  • Implementation and coordination of regulatory and control agenda
  • Utilize qualitative and quantitative tools to analyze, synthesize and interpret data and information, drawing conclusions and making recommendations for management
  • Problem solve and examine business initiatives with an eye towards client, firm, advisor, and business impact
  • Understand, define, and prioritize business needs in the context of short and long term objectives
  • Navigate and facilitate information flow/messaging between teams
  • Establish and lead working groups, requiring effective partnership with groups across Legal, Compliance, Technology, Operations, Risk, Supervisory Management, Marketing, Finance, and Human Resources


  • Minimum of Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience within the financial services industry, ideally with exposure to Business Management, COO functions, Finances, Operations or Business Analysts
  • Proactive, accountable, organized, and detail-oriented work ethic
  • A problem-solver, goal-oriented, and with good follow-up and follow-through skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to articulate ideas, initiatives and issues well and can interface globally with all levels of the organization confidently
  • Strong analytical skills and sound judgement with the ability to develop, clearly present and drive analysis to a conclusion & execution. Ability to quickly analyze business practices to identify risk and develop innovative solutions
  • Flexible and responsive to requests from dynamic business environment. Ability to execute within demanding deadlines, and manage multiple projects concurrently
  • A self-starter with an excellent attitude, motivation and an ability to learn quickly
  • Solid Excel/PowerPoint skills. Experiences in Tableau, Alteryx or Python will be an advantage
