Title: Group Communication Manager (Communications, Content & PR)

Overview

Every business needs to tell its story; It's critical to commercial success, brand-building, and long-term reputation. We are on the look-out for a story teller, a communicator, who can help us maximize opportunities to grow and add-value to our customers both internal and external, and achieve our strategic and commercial goals. Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, you will have strong writing and editing skills and be adapt at producing materials both offline and online (social and web) as well as a keen interest in PR activities.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Marketing Director to define communication strategies to support each businesses growth plan for both offline and online channels;
  • Project manage, design, develop and execute communications campaigns to achieve communication strategies,integrating various media/communications sources/channels to promote the brand(s);
  • Create compelling social content that will optimize engagement and increase followers for SONDER living;
  • Manage each brands Content/Communication calendar; 
  • Manage PR House to plan, implement and achieve PR objectives as well as building and retaining relationships with international trade media; 
  • Work cross functionally with all key departments across sales, merchandising, creative, digital, Brand Managers and Production teams to optimize business objectives;
  • Work closely with the Marketing Director to develop internal communications plan to ensure all employees are fully informed and engaged on the strategic and operational priorities of the group;
  • Ensure the highest quality of writing for all communication activity, including but not limited to press releases, printed materials, websites and social channels;
  • Analyse reach, engagement, followers and growth on a weekly basis and produce ongoing reporting.
     

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role from a fashion/furniture background, preferably luxury
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in communication/PR (bonus if from luxury/premium retail environment)
  • Experience in copywriting and editing
  • Team player, hands on approach, open minded and flexible
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Strong IT skills
