Group M&A Director

This position sits within the newly established M&A team at a leading professional services firm. The Group M&A Director will play a critical role in contributing to the Company’s long term growth plan and in the execution of its strategy. This is a newly created position, and ideal for experienced M&A professionals looking for an in-house position within a rapidly expanding business.

Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Group CEO working closely with the Group CFO
  • Define, set-up, and establish the corporate M&A strategy for the group, partnering with the senior leadership team to drive growth initiatives
  • Ensure a proactive and rigorous approach to the entire M&A process
  • Contribute to building deal pipeline in collaboration with the Leadership team and external advisors
  • Oversight and comprehensive involvement in the entire deal cycle
  • Due diligence and valuation,
  • Prepare and finalise deal structure, formation of term sheet
  • Actively contribute to deal negotiation, purchase agreement, and contract closures
  • Define and execute integration plan in collaboration with cross functional teams


Requirements:

  • Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Finance
  • A minimum of 12 years corporate finance and/or M&A experience gained from a sizeable business within a consulting or in-house capacity
  • Prior experience in Investment banking is advantageous but not required
  • M&A generalist – ability to cover the full spectrum of the deal cycle
  • Knowledge of Asia-Pacific markets
  • Professional services and financial services experience is preferred
  • Collaborative approach, strategic thinker with a hands-on mindset
