About this company

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with US headquarter to perform hardware and firmware support for Asia
  • Maintain specialty/commodity server and desktop hardware
  • Diagnose hardware problems in server and desktop systems
  • Report problems in internal applications and assist in problem diagnosis with other members of IT and operations teams
  • Support ITAD operations team in the US for day-to-day activities

Job Requirement:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology
  • At least 2 years or above experience in handling Linux operating system
  • Knowledgeable in hardware components including motherboards, SAS/SATA controllers, hard drives/SSDs, CPUs, RAM, SAS backplanes, power supplies, cabling
  • Familiarity with different hard drive/SSD types and secure wiping technology
  • Experience in conducting research and performing firmware upgrades for server/desktop components
  • Understanding of PXE boot process and basic TCP/IP networking
  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence or similar systems
  • Detailed oriented with excellent analysis skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work with all levels of management and staff, both technical and non-technical.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese
