Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsible for all aspects of global marketing for our B2B online website and trade show, with the objective of expanding and deepening existing community of 1 million international buyers, including 90 of the world’s top 100 retailers, where key responsibilities include: 

  • Manage all marketing and content related operational activities and formulate strategies to attract international buyers to use our services
  • Formulate the branding and positioning of the individual products/services with related business units; and alongside corporate marketing and Sales
  • Manage respective marketing channels within budget and on schedule to achieve target metrics/results
  • Oversee search engine (SEO and SEM) traffic growth and maintenance in the main website, GlobalSources.com
  • Drive, develop and oversee execution strategy for content to maximize returns and exposure from various media platforms
  • Oversee a program of promotional booths and activities at 1st- and 3rd-party tradeshows globally
  • Harness the power of latest marketing technologies to streamline and enhance the marketing team’s efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ongoing review of buyer and supplier behavior and interests via surveys, telemarketing and at international Trade Shows to determine best practices for how buyers and suppliers conduct business in general and by industry and countries
  • Report on strategy and planning on all the above to the Vice President of Community and Content

Requirements:

  • MBA or equivalent post-graduate level Marketing or Business degree
  • At least 10 years of experience in digital marketing, with at least 6 years in a managerial role
  • Up to date expertise in online and digital marketing (both pull and push methods)
  • Direct marketing experience preferred (including copywriting, email)
  • Experience in market research and content marketing is advantageous
  • Experience with vendor management (for outsourced software, products and services) is preferred
  • Experience with setting and managing budgets
  • Keep up to date with the latest marketing technology
  • Knowledge and experience with multimedia and Web, including PPC/SEM/SEO, social media
  • Proficient in web analytics and reporting tools with understanding of ROI and web conversion metrics
  • Strong analytical skills and data driven thinking
  • Ability to directly manage, evaluate performance and motivate direct reports and team members
  • Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate across business units and with all levels of the organization
  • Possess excellent communication skills; fluent in written and spoken English
