The two culinary giants, Epicurean Group, one of Hong Kong’s leading hospitality groups, will join hands with Yannick Alléno Group from France to bring the popular French Bistro “Terroir Parisien" to Asia for the first time this May. Its culinary concept is quite straightforward: fabulous products; original recipes from the Paris region; a simple, attractive menu, seasonal dishes and a daily board offering the freshest produces from the market. Therefore, we are looking for F&B talents to join us.

The incumbent will directly report to Executive Chef & Executive Sous Chef, he / she will be responsible for the food production, preparation & presentation of all food items, staff management and coaching in order to ensure the highest quality of food as well as reaching a compliance of food hygiene and safety according to the statutory regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the superiors on managing general kitchen operations
  • Manage and provide training & coaching to kitchen team members
  • Manage cost & inventory control for kitchen operations
  • Menu design, translation and costing
  • Assist in marketing development and promotions
  • Act as a key person enhancing the communication between Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef and the kitchen team, as well as local vendors & suppliers.

Requirements

  • Educated in or knowledge of the hospitality / catering industry
  • Min. 5 years' in similar position with a range of skill in fashionable foodie endeavors, preferably in hotel industry.
  • Proficient knowledge and being passionate in French cuisine
  • Strong leadership skills and "hands on" approach
  • Proficient communication skills in English
  • Team player and able to develop sound working relationship with all staff members
  • Ability to deal with all customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Flexible with work hours
  • Be responsible, dynamic, hard working, efficient, innovative
  • The candidate MUST be fluent in Cantonese and English
  • Candidate with lesser experience could be considered as Sous Chef
