Head of Commercial Credit Approval

Our Clients, a well-known banking group is looking for a high calibre to join the group.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a teams of commercial credit approvers to review and approve credit proposals of non-listed corporate in accordance with the bank's credit standards
  • Work closely with Commercial Banking business leaders and Risk Management functional leaders on approvals of large corporate and complex credit applications
  • Review and implement credit policy and HKMA and other regulatory requirements
  • Work with China credit teams for cross-border credit applications
  • Collaborate with business functions and operational units in formulating new business initiatives and products
  • Undertake special portfolio reviews and other ad hoc projects as directed by senior management

Desired Skills & Experience:

Requirements:

  • University graduate, preferably with a Master’s degree in business related discipline
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in corporate credit approval and credit risk management
  • Relevant regulatory knowledge applicable to Hong Kong and China Commercial Banking activities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to liaise and negotiate appropriate credit solutions with business units.
