Head of Compliance and Internal Control

Responsibilities:

• Conduct KYC, CDD, AML & transaction investigation, checking, monitoring and review
• Conduct regular compliance review/audit on business activities in accordance with rules and regulations, and internal policies and procedures
• Keep abreast of regulatory developments and predict what actions the Company may need to take in future
• Ensure that the Company complies with its own internal policies and procedures, and with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements
• Interpret and disseminate regulatory updates, liaise with other departments on the application of regulations and implementation of compliance programs
• Prepare and update compliance training materials/briefings
• Participate and assist in ad hoc projects/works as assigned
• Follow up on compliance issues that require investigation
• Assist to handle MLO license applications for third parties and referees
• Assist to provide administrative support that related to compliance issues

The Successful Applicant:

• University graduate in Law or Finance or Accounting or related disciplines
• Professional certification in compliance risk management would be beneficial
• 4+ years of compliance or relevant experience in a risk, fraud, compliance, AML or regulatory function, experience working with any regulated financial services business in legal or compliance roles preferred
• Good understanding of performing risk assessments, periodic/trigger reviews, and enhanced due diligence
• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in trade finance industry is an advantage
• Good command of written & spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin & Cantonese)
• Independent, meticulous, pro-active, attentive to details, self-motivated, reliable, keen to learn, and capable of meeting new challenges with excellent communication skills
• High proficiency in PC skills and MS office applications (MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
• Immediate available is highly preferred
• Candidate with less experiences will be considered as Compliance Officer
