Job Description

  • To lead the Risk Management team (Credit Approval, Loan Administration, Loan Recovery) to ensure the credit quality, identify key risks and monitor the risk trend of loan portfolios;
  • To review the credit evaluation performed by subordinates and provide guidance credit approvers;
  • To review transaction documentation on major lending transactions (e.g. personal loans, mortgage loans and corporate loans etc.);
  • To recommend or approve lending transactions with the designated credit authority;
  • To conduct due diligence (including fraud detection) on key borrowers and counterparties;
  • To develop macro-economic views and provide recommendations on lending strategies / risk appetite to the Board;
  • To monitor quality of loan portfolio on an ongoing basis;
  • To establish and review credit policies, procedures and other manuals to maintain stringent credit standard and ensure adherence to relevant legal and regulatory requirements;
  • To monitor the collateral management processes (mortgage loans, securities financing);
  • One of key stakeholders to safeguard other key risk aspects (market risk, operational risk, regulatory risk and reputational risk etc.)


Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics with CFA preferable;
  • Preferred 10-15 years’ experience in banking and finance industry with supervisory level in credit risk & control;
  • Sound knowledge in lending guidelines and market credit practice;
  • Familiar with unsecured / secured / corporate loans / margin financing;
  • Extensive credit research, good analytical skills and strong credit judgment;
  • Good compliance knowledge of various aspects including AML, KYC and other regulatory requirements
