Position Summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a senior editorial head to oversee development and production of all Asia based content for the Broadcast solutions media publishing clients across the globe.

Role Responsibilities

  • Recruit, Develop and Lead a high performing editorial and technical production team across Singapore, Hong Kong, Seoul, Beijing, Tokyo, etc
  • Oversee the development of Asia based pitches and content for all clients and ensure accuracy, impartiality and balanced reporting
  • Liaise with the wider Reuters editorial teams across the globe to ensure consistency of coverage and sharing of content where applicable
  • Ensure all Asia based events are covered
  • Prepare rotas and ensure that staff holidays, illnesses are covered

Required Skills and Experience

  • Significant (10+ years) experience of working in a fast paced newsrool
  • Experience of managing staff both locally and remotely
  • Customer-focused, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to spot trends and drive innovation across both newsgathering and newsreporting fields
  • Proven track record of leading and motivating teams
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Energy and drive, ability to work in a fast paced and pressurized environment

Desired Skills

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and analytical
  • Ability to think and act globally

Education/ Certifications

  • Post Grad in Journalism required
