  • To ensure Service delivery meets client Contractual commitment.
  • Provide senior account management leadership for major transport service customers
  • Overall lead in developing new business opportunities with existing accounts including cross selling other services
  • Engage with potential new customers to promote and develop industry leading solutions. Actively support the business development process, including contract negotiation and implementation.
  • Engage with Corporate T&D team to align with Corporate T&D Business Strategy and Direction
  • Ensure regular, timely and accurate reporting of service, cost and safety KPI’s Identification and pursuit of cost down initiatives 
  • Work closely with Regional T&D team team/IT team to implement TMS and other Transport related IT systems in Greater China
  • Support with strategic business interest, development of business plan and strategies of overall YCH Greater China YCH and its implementation of plans.
  • Working with Procurement to ensure the achievement of cost down initiatives and annual budget targets
  • Working with Corporate and Greater China Business Development team to support the achievement of growth targets by proactively pursuing Transport Business opportunities.
  • Working with IT to ensure the effective delivery of systems to support transport operations
  • Working with PMO to ensure projects are managed and status updates are provided as required to meet project methodology requirements through a comprehensive carrier management programme manage the service, quality and cost performance of key suppliers of transport services
  • Liaison with authorities as required
  • Maintenance of operating licenses
  • Develop an overall transport strategy to develop an industry leading offer for our customers in Greater China. Consider people, suppliers, systems, reporting, cost models, marketing and operations improvement.
  • Ensure operating teams meet our contractual commitments for service, cost and reporting
  • Manage P&L for transport operations across the sub-region and develop a robust budgeting process
  • Standardize KPI reporting across transport operations
  • Develop and maintain a cost down initiatives programme across transport operations
  • Undertake Quarterly Business Reviews with key suppliers using a scorecard to provide feedback and track progress
  • Through the Carrier Management Programme ensure contracts are in place with carriers, an SLA has been agreed and that SOP’s have been supplied with training to each carrier.
  • Working with procurement, review all main transport services contracts on an annual basis.
  • Create cost and operations simulation models for major new business opportunities 
  • Provide industry knowledge management to ensure continued legal compliance
  • Maintain links with the industry and appraise potential acquisition targets


  • Minimum 10 years management experience in a 3PL/transport environment, 5 of which have been a senior leadership role.
  • Minimum 10 years of planning and operating a transport fleet on a 3rd and 4th party basis 
  • At least 2 years experience in any of engineering, manufacturing, automotive, energy or industrial areas is preferable
  • At least 2 years working experience in Asia is preferable
  • At least 3 years BD experience in a similar role with proven sales record
  • Cross cultural competence and International business exposure/experience
