Who’s who in the zoo?

Reporting directly to the Country Director of Hong Kong, the Head of Growth Marketing will lead all of GoBear Hong Kong’s efforts in its digital and growth marketing. Growth marketing normally means going from nothing to something. At GoBear, this means developing and growing our users, traffic and transactions on our platform. We call it growth marketing because it’s going beyond the well used digital and traditional marketing strategies, to be able to think out of the box and devise creative ways to grow GoBear’s brand and users.   

The successful candidate will work with the GoBear Country Director and lead the marketing team to establish marketing strategies to achieve GoBear’s business goals. You should be willing to roll your sleeves back, with a very ‘hands-on’ approach and work autonomously in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. You thrive on challenges and have an analytical approach to find channels to grow the business and GoBear’s brand in HK.


What fun you’ll get to have at GoBear?               

  •        You’ll be responsible for establishing the digital and traditional marketing strategies for GoBear HK to support and deliver on GoBear’s business objectives,
  •        You’ll be responsible for targets and budgets of growth marketing programs, focusing on improving key metrics like conversion to leads, driving user sign-ups, user engagement with our brand,
  •        You’ll oversee all performance marketing strategies; focusing on scaling up our paid acquisition efforts, acquiring quality audience segments, optimizing conversion and ROI; including but not limited to Google Adwords, Facebook, Bing, Display Ads, running A/B testing,
  •        You’ll be leading organic traffic acquisition strategies including but not limited to SEO, content marketing, marketing partnerships, paid social and affiliate marketing to drive unpaid traffic growth,
  •        You’ll be our go-to leader in marketing, be ready to be hands-on and share knowledge between team members 
  •        You’ll have a strategic mindset in your approach to identifying and building strategic marketing partnerships for GoBear,
  •        You’ll be proactive and make recommendations on ways to improve our website and applications to support GoBear’s marketing and brand efforts,
  •        You’ll take up ad-hoc projects and tasks as required 


Got Skills?                                                                                                                        

  •        Bachelors in Marketing, Communications, Business or other related field;
  •        You have at least 10 years of experience in digital marketing;
  •        You have strong understanding of Hong Kong local consumer behavior and market trends;
  •        You have mastery over the digital media landscape;
  •        You’ll have proven track record of increasing user acquisition, engagement and retention and meeting/exceeding revenue and profitability goals;
  •        You’ll have demonstrable experience in understanding digital channels e.g. Google Adwords, FB Ads, SEM, SEO, content marketing, programmatic media buy, email marketing, campaign optimization etc, and know what is possible and how it can be applied to drive growth for a business;
  •        You’ll have strong ability in using analytics to make fact-based decisions
  •        You’ll have solid experience managing a team;
  •        Experience managing in-house and out-sourced delivery teams, as well as hands-on delivery experience;
  •        You’ll have knowledge of (local) finance, banking and/or insurance business, particularly on the consumer retail business;
  •        It’ll be fab if you have prior experience with online business;
  •        It’ll be great if you have experience in Google Analytics and Content Management Platforms;
  •        You’ll have excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  •        You’ll have excellent oral and written communication in Chinese (Cantonese) and English
