This position is responsible leading large and complex project teams and/or programs and is accountable for the overall management, planning and delivery of the portfolio of the Hong Kong Technology projects/programs. This role is instrumental in managing and executing integrated internal and vendor technology solutions and proposing strategic roadmaps.

Support and coach your team using your knowledge and experience to drive best practice and ensure capability is optimised.


Leadership:

  • Experienced program manager with a focus on innovation and creativity
  • Direct complex projects affecting multiple functions or businesses
  • Serve as a dedicated resource working directly with senior division leaders and staff to support the solution delivery.
  • Partner with the business units; understand the strategy and driver to make sure that projects meet the requirements.
  • Build strong relationships to enhance collaboration
  • Engage people and develop them through team work and a high level of participation
  • Assess change readiness and prepare plans for helping stakeholders through change
  • Drive for high quality, actionable results

Program Management:

  • Provide assistance with evaluating business projects and proposing and sizing the related technology builds and integrations..
  • Create transparency into the PMO and ongoing production support capital and operating expenses and budgets.
  • Direct and coordinates the delivery of multiple projects from idea to implementation.
  • Proactively leads the team and vendors to deliver high quality products with minimal defects.
  • Partner with the PMO to contribute best practices and transform the organisations software development capabilities.
  • Oversee the development and deployment of IT project delivery methodology and templates based upon best practice
  • Oversee the development of the IT plans and budgets in relation to project delivery, ensuring transparency.

Financial Management:

  • Partner with Finance to develop and track project metrics
  • Monitor performance and improvement in key metrics
  • Deliver operational improvement and financial benefits to meet or exceed annual targets

Requirements:

  • Typically require a tertiary qualification in an IT discipline or related field
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of proven IT leadership and program and project delivery experience in the financial services industry
  • Deep understanding of the delivery methodologies of Agile and SDLC
  • Ability to make insightful, successful decisions
  • Competent delivering results through ownership & drive
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a team
  • Exposure to transformational change within a business
  • The ability to think creatively and ensure solutions meet stakeholder needs and are fit for purpose.
  • Experience developing digital solutions across mobile, web and tablet
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks, work to tight deadlines and monitor team members' targets and KPIs
  • Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Ability to lead the work of others
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
