(1) Product Development
Drive innovation, strategy and product development (e.g. Trade, Cash, Treasury, FI, RMB Business, etc.) for the Bank’s products to achieve the business objectives and expansion plans
Oversee the Bank’s business and product development projects
Evaluate the Bank’s product performance and explore enhancement need subject to business / market change
Provide product sales support and training to front-office staff and Mainland’s associates if necessary
Enhance the Bank’s product branding
(2) Business Development
Conduct market intelligence/analysis and identify business opportunities
Liaison with business partners/service providers to explore business / product co-operation opportunities
Drive the business and enhance the Bank’s product sales capability
Support the front office to structure product solutions for clients
(3) Strategic Planning
Perform strategic planning and budgeting for business / product development
Monitor, analyze and manage the Bank’s product P&L, produce necessary management reports to the Management on business or product strategy
Complete the ad hoc tasks or projects as assigned by the Management and ensure the Bank’s strategic direction is met
Bachelor degree or above in business, finance or banking
Possess professional training or certifications in product or project management skills
At least 15 years’ of experience in wholesale banking with 10 years in product development, knowledge or product sales support role
At least 5 years’ experience as team lead / product expertise role with hands-on experience in execution of business strategic plans and product launch projects on schedule
Sound knowledge in wholesale banking products include trade, cash management, loan, treasury and RMB business, e-Banking, with track record in successful launch of new products / product performance or contribution
Familiar with local and international market practices in banking environment, with experience in China business development.
Good leadership and project management skills in product development, sales and marketing activities
Proactive, forward planning and result-oriented, conscious of risk and quality management with good acumen of business, sense of product/project ownership
Strong presentation skills, good interpersonal and people management skills
Proficiency in MS Words, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Chinese word processing
Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Mandarin)
