Head of Product Management - Integration Portfolio

Within the Marketing division, the interface and integration department brings to the market Alliance Message Hub, Alliance Access and Alliance Integration portfolio. This group is responsible for the strategic & commercial marketing activities as well as the delivery on this growing portfolio.

Since 2008, SWIFT has grown fast in the business of integration by offering new capabilities to connect the user’s back-office and SWIFT. The product set supports communication in different message formats and can contact other systems for data validation and enrichment

The ambition is to leverage this integration platform to fast track the launch of new SWIFT Initiatives (such as gpi, Sanction Screening, Scope, ..) and support the API strategy with the new regulation like PSD2.

We are looking for a Head of Product Management for the Integration Portfolio based in Hong Kong or Singapore.°@

Primary Responsibilities:

Acting as leader for Integration with Back office domain of expertise, you will have the responsibilities of the P&L with a focus on accelerating portfolio revenue growth and for enhancing product positioning and adoption. You will need to demonstrate an insightful understanding of emerging technologies and will define the future product roadmap of the portfolio. You must be equally adept and confident with defining high level strategic priorities, as well managing granular technical and operational details for product delivery and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will be to define the long term vision of this SWIFT Integration platform across the three overall portfolio. This strategy will be defined in collaboration with Sales, within Marketing, with IT and ultimately validated with the customers.

Your responsibilities will be as well to define and monitor the business case of the current portfolio and support sales achieving their target. You will play a major role in the commercialization process (e.g. Pricing, Finance, Competitive Intelligence, Communication, Pre-sales Technical Experts, etc.) Together with the individual product managers, you create a value proposition of the related product that can be transformed into sales collateral and which is communicated and put into an agreed go to market plan for the regions.

Finally, you will be leading and managing a team of product manager, providing strong subject matter expertise and coaching to support the team’s professional development and growth.

You will be part of a team who is responsible of having everything in place to ensure we deliver with excellence, quality and on schedule for the 3 product families: Alliance Access, Alliance Messaging Hub Alliance Integration Platform. Practically, what is needed?

We are looking for a candidate to:

  • Create a global team that enables the regions to successfully commercialize the portfolio
  • Design, develop and coordinate the promotional activities and required sales tools & collateral.
  • Develop and put a go to market plan in action with the regions
  • Monitor the commercial uptake, analyse and implement corrective actions where needed
  • Liaise with the individual product managers and identify new business opportunities in working with the regions.
  • Be recognized as a technical market expert able to select the best technical option in terms of delivery (in-house development; off the shelf; joint development in partnership).
  • Review the Customer Requirement Specification in collaboration with IT to transform the specifications into a finished and well-defined product°@

  • University degree in Marketing, Economics, Engineering or equivalent.

Skills and Experience

  • 10 to 15 years of professional experience in Financial Messaging Integration and SWIFT Interface is a mandatory pre-requisite
  • At least 10 years of experience of which a part in a pre-sales /sales role and another in a product/service management role
  • A commercial experience in the financial industry is a plus.
  • Good negotiation skills and ready to compromise to ensure progress and results.
  • Passionate and strong leadership in order to energise all key players in the commercial process
  • Excellent English, both written and spoken is a mandatory pre-requisite
  • You’re a structured do-er, proud of delivering, with lots of energy and drive and you lead within the team by example
  • You're an influential trusted advisor to your internal and external customers
  • Excellent communication & collaboration skills
  • Willingness to travel (20% of the time)
  • An excellent team player
