About us

HABBITZZ is an upcoming E-commerce platform to be launched in Hong Kong. The Head of Production is responsible to ensure consistent, high-quality content (product information, images / videos, etc) is implemented and adheres to HABBITZZ’s branding, compliance, and accessibility standards across our eCommerce platforms (apps and website). This person will lead a team of production assistants and additionally collaborate with the design team, developers, and content stakeholders on ongoing development and optimization.

The Job

1. Training

  • Serve as expert resource on catalog management system and the packaging of content across all merchandising categories.
  • Ensure proper and consistent usage of catalog / content management system by various internal staffs and external merchants.
  • Create and maintain training documentation, guidelines, tip sheets, and how-to videos to support merchandising managers, content and QC assistants (in-house and outsourced).
  • Conduct training sessions for all new content management initiatives.

2. Product Content

  • Design, manage and improve the product content funnel from web-scraping, content improvement, QC, upload.
  • Lead production assistants (in-house and outsourced) with day-to-day product content creation, edit & QC needs.
  • Collaborate with design and marketing team to improve overall catalog presentation to end-customers with focus on conversion rate optimization.

3. Catalog Management

  • Design, manage and improve the catalog management process from product status, stock availability and pricing across all business models (consignment, retail, sales lead).
  • Design, manage and enforce catalog management SOPs across internal and external stakeholders on day-to-day basis.


4. Reporting and analytics

  • Set-up, track and improve content quality metrics to ensure consistency, accuracy, and optimal experience across platforms.
  • Set-up, track and improve production velocity and costs across the various content improvement stages.

The Person

  • Degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education, training, process improvement, with some emphasis on web design / administration.
  • Minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience working with catalog management systems.
  • Experience training others via web-session, teleconference, or in-person settings.
  • Experience adding content to websites with attention to accuracy, basic HTML, spelling, format, and assembling components in a CMS.
  • Knowledge of testing, identifying and correcting website related technical problems across platforms and browsers.
  • Knowledge of user experience and web design best practices is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with web analytic systems is an advantage (Google Analytics preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Photoshop and/or image editing applications.

  • Must be results driven with excellent problem-solving skills, and passionate about being challenged.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple requests from multiple sources, with strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and Chinese), with ability to communicate effectively with people at all organizational levels.
  • Self-starter who is able to work productively with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Must be able to work with a team and exhibit strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to produce consistent, quality work on time and within budget.
  • Must be able to deal effectively with diverse departments, external vendors and agencies, and have flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to work irregular hours including nights and weekends as-needed.
