Health Supplement Sales & Retail Strategist

A fantastic opportunity has opened up for an In-store Health Supplement Sales & Retail Strategist at IMI, Hong Kong's leading integrated and natural medicine clinic, IMI. Established for over 25 years, we have one of the largest natural dispensaries in Asia, carrying a wide range of high quality and clinical grade supplements, vitamins, herbal, homeopathic and health products.

This role requires you to flex your people skills, putting you front of house so that you can share your knowledge and passion for nutrition and health supplements with clients. You’ll also be working alongside our dispensary, reception and practitioners, to provide our clients with our signature approach: integrated healing.

Having recently developed our online store, you’ll be collaborating with our directors and marketing team too, helping us to build our brand profile by supporting product education, sourcing new product lines and coming up with initiatives to boost sales and foster customer loyalty, both in-store and online.

Based in our main clinic in Hong Kong central, in an environment with leading doctors and practitioners whom have a depth of experience and sound clinical based knowledge of supplements and nutraceuticals, there is plenty of scope to make significant impact in the sector of natural health.

The Role

  • You will have an active presence on the shop floor and foster a strong team spirit within the dispensary.
  • A natural people person, you’ll build good relationships with clients and customers, giving them sound health supplement advice as needed.
  • You’ll coach our team and have a passion for sharing your knowledge on naturopathy and nutrition, and the latest health product and supplement advice.
  • You will be keen to launch initiatives to raise the standards of retail and merchandising, both in-store and online
  • You will also work behind the scenes, preparing orders, monitoring inventory and sourcing and helping to decide on new products, as well as educating our dispensary staff and marketing team on key points for new products and wider promotion.
  • Working with our directors, you’ll define sales objectives and create action plans to carry them out. You’ll also work closely with our dispensary team, while monitoring daily sales and analysis to refine the sales strategy, reporting feedback at the end of the month to our managing and marketing directors.
  • You will be keen to collaborate closely and efficiently with all relevant teams to provide our clients with superior service across all platforms: in-person, telephone and online.
  • You’ll be able to target our audience for retention, co-ordinating and collaborating with marketing to create events, promotions and all associated marketing materials to a professional standard.
  • Together with the dispensary team, you’ll also be responsible for the appearance and maintenance of the in-clinic retail area and dispensary, including merchandising and displays.


A genuine passion for natural integrated health, supplements and health products.

  • Ideally you will have a solid educational background as a Naturopath or other healthcare professional with thorough knowledge in supplements, herbs and natural healthcare. For the right candidate this is not a prerequisite.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the health and wellness retail sector, ideally with senior retail associate experience
  • Strong people skills, with a natural enthusiasm for working in a customer-facing role
  • Native (or equivalent) English speaker with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Spoken Cantonese an advantage (but not essential).
  • Excellent communication skills, both in-person and online, able to create rapport with customers, and strong working relationships with suppliers and our internal team.
  • IT savvy with a strong knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Google Docs.
  • A keen sense of the health and service industry and what it means to provide fantastic customer service.
  • Team player: you will be willing to step in and support your team when needed, as well as well as make effective contributions to the senior management team
