Job Description

Individual Tasks

  • Research and report on relevant external and internal labour market trends and intelligence through desk-based research as well as industry and professional association networking events.
  • Build talent intelligence through market mapping to assist in pipeline development.
  • Assist in creating and supporting future focused sourcing strategies in consultation with Recruiters and Develop, maintain and distribute sourcing playbooks to ensure adherence to best practice sourcing methodology.
  • Conduct candidate searches using a variety of internal and external sources and channels, in accordance with sourcing playbooks.
  • Engage with external passive talent through the promotion of our employment brand to assess potential fit and interest.
  • Proactively build partnerships with business lines to further identify and attract target talent groups.
  • Source and screen candidates to present a short list of qualified candidates to Recruiters
  • Create, implement, and participate in talent pipelining events that are aligned with the hiring requirements

Individual Accountabilities

  • Identify and staff and mid-level candidates through research techniques and practices.
  • Leverage sourcing team to perform extensive proactive Internet based research, data mining and market mapping.
  • Own outreach/engagement of candidates including cold calling and meeting to help build executive candidate pipelines.
  • Develop and maintain a strong external networks.
  • Actively support Global Mobility and diversity targets with key functional verticals within Manulife, which may include Finance, IT, HR and Actuarial.
  • Creation, communication, and execution of sourcing & recruitment strategies that is best in class.
  • Must be credible and adept at building relationships with internal stakeholders and maintaining a strong external networks.
  • High level of comfort selling passive candidates on opportunities within Manulife

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge in Ms Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Experienced in using Linkedin Recruiter and Candidate Relationship Management Tool (preferred)
