HK Settlement Officer

Scope and Purpose

Assist the Manager/Senior Settlement Officer to: - Perform daily activities for settlement of Forex / Money Market / Securities and OTC derivatives (mainly on interest rates, currencies), reconciliation of daily payment and balance to clearing houses and Head Office; liaison with, trading/selling desks, Middle Office, HO operations and risk management department etc; - Perform daily activities related to collateral agreement, payment and reconciliation; verify periodic interest calculation and related payment; - Verify and reconcile clients' payments; - Support clients for query management including breaks and issue resolution; - Partner with relevant internal depts. (Front Office, Middle Office, Information Technology and Relationship Managers) to resolve payment issues; - Reach out to counterparties in order to guarantee proper execution and resolve possible discrepancies; - Maintain and ensure full client's satisfaction will be a vital part of the role.

Required Experience

1-3 years working experience in Foreign Exchange and Money Market on or comparable position will be an advantage

Required Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

- Degree/diploma in Finance or relevant disciplines - Proficient in English and knowledgeable of financial products terminology; - Excellent desktop/spreadsheet skills and good analytical skills and attention to detail; - Ability to work independently, good customer service and relationship skills.
