Hong Kong: Application Support Engineer (5 Days Work)

We at our Hong Kong office are looking for Application Support Engineer who wants to work in a dynamic global organization, solving interesting, real time problems. We are looking for ambitious professionals who would like to grow with our Application Support team.
Application Support Engineer is a key technical role within Global Support group. The Engineers use their understanding of Meltwater technologies and products, and work on our customers’ business objectives to drive support tickets to closure.
Key Performance Indicators would be client/sales satisfaction (as reported via feedback surveys and net promoter scores) along with system and support SLAs being met and reduction of client churn.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
- 2 - 4 years’ experience in Application or Product Support
- Knowledge in at least one scripting or programming language, database and basics of unix/linux
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- SQL/Database experience
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Regular Expression etc.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken
- Programming language knowledge
- Good at documenting and sharing information and findings
- Open to learning new products and technologies
- Work permit to work in Hong Kong
- Ability to work under occasional high pressure situations
Desirable:
- Node.js, Angular.js
- UNIX and scripting
- MongoDB, Elastic Search, Big Data
