PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

HR Assistant Manager – Talent Acquisition (HRAM – TA) will facilitate the effective and efficient staffing in the company.

You will work very closely with the Heads of Department (HOD) in order to identify talent needs to fulfill the company’s business plan (short-term, mid-term and long-term); and will recruit such talent in the most efficient way (sources, channels, timing, interview process, etc).

HRAM – TA will be responsible for the setup of an efficient networking system that allows the company to recruit talented individuals in a reasonable time and cost.

HRAM - TA is in most cases our first contact with future employees, and through his/her interaction with candidates will deliver a perfect image of the company’s culture, expectations and the way we work; on the other side, HRAM - TA will manage candidate’s expectations in order to maximize his/her satisfaction when joining our company.

 

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Deep understanding of the company’s talent needs

  • Understand the company’s business plan in short-long term in order to be able to identify the right talent needs the company will face in future.
  • Work very close with HOD to adequately understand the needs of the manager and the requirements and expectations of each specific job

Deep understanding of the talent local market

  • In order to identify sources and channels to recruit talented people.
  • Must know local companies talent status and policies in order to identify which ones are competitors, which ones are complementary companies, where to find good candidates.
  • Must know candidates expectations (salary, benefits, culture, notice period), working very close to the Compensation and Benefits Executive in order to ensure that our salary package is competitive and efficient.
  • Must know how to access to local talented profiles (channels. Apps, media, websites…).
  • Must develop a local network with Search Companies and Head Hunters in order to ensure an efficient temporary support when needed.

Source Candidates

  • Must source and recruit candidates using a variety of resources, such as job postings and social media, while effectively targeting the right kinds of candidates for the job. Throughout this process, they develop relationships with prospective talent. TAE also seek out and recommend creative new ways of sourcing talent.

Screen, Interview, and Assess Candidates

  • Will schedule all interviews and then prepare and advise their candidates beforehand. They review resumes, cover letters, and assess interview performance. TAE must also complete all pre-screening and screening activities for prospective employees, which may include calling previous employers or colleagues for references check.

Assist with Hiring Process

  • In order to facilitate a smooth on-boarding process for new employees, you will administer and consolidate all hiring paperwork for new employees and will assist with the orientation process in order to help the new colleague  to make a smooth hiring and integration.

Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends

  • Will be a very valuable source of information for the company in terms of market trends (talent, profiles, salary, benefits, procedures, organization, etc). During the interviews, TAE will gather such relevant information and share with HOD’s.

Manage your team

  • You will manage the development of our team members (skills, know how).
  • You will lead by example, coach and motivate your team to fulfill the company’s standards and maximize the customer’s experience at HKIA.
  • You will assess your team members’ performance on a timely basis and support their career plan.

 

KEY REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES

  • Minimum 5 years of professional HR experience in travel retail/Perfume and Cosmetics industry, FMCG. (For longer and better experience, we might consider a Manager role.)
  • Degree in Human Resources Management/Business administration or equivalent
  • Experience in setting up and upgrading Talent Acquisition System in local market (HK)
  • Experience in recruiting profiles from retail (Beauty and Fashion Advisors, Supervisors) and retail back office (all basic functions)
  • Strong analytical skill with the ability to efficiently screen and source candidates
  • Result oriented (concerned about quality of talent in the company and eager to improve)
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Strong written and oral English and Cantonese
