The function: HR Business Partner

The job scope:

  • To manage the HR relationship with different line of service for APAC, supporting and adding value regionally that align with business strategies
  • Stakeholder management and governance across the Business Services and GBM divisions, ensuring people interventions land effectively in region and countries
  • Lead the delivering the HR People Plan across Operations, ensuring fit for purpose delivery at a local level
  • Identify business and HR issues and trends, planning HR interventions and projects across the full spectrum of HR activity addressing identified needs for the relevant business area
  • Apply HR technical expertise and knowledge to regional HR issues in order to maximize the potential of HR within a strategic context.
  • Manage dilemma of divisional versus country approach in HR products and processes through co-ordination of functions and divisions in the region
  • Successfully deliver high quality HR activity to the business
  • Demonstrate an absolute focus on adding value through measurable deliverables
  • Assist the implementation of both HR and organisational initiatives
  • Create and maintain internal and external networks and relationships, to support current and future activities
  • Provide support and coaching in a virtual context to project HR Consultants delivering to dedicated business area
  • Design of talent performance management methodologies
  • Understand and deliver people requirements for current and future business challenges
  • Leader and custodian of the values of the organisation and associated people principles, taking full and visible responsibility for the delivery of the combined culture
  • Successfully deliver high quality fit for purpose HR activity to the business, in collaboration with other HR Business Partners, Centres of Expertise and specialist functions
  • Ensure effective organisational design and operating structures in place across the business in support of global and regional matrix business solutions
  • Measure the success of HR solutions in contributing to the strategy of the business area and attainment of overall business objectives
  • Input, drive and assist the implementation of both HR and organizational initiatives
  • Working with the business management team to impact business results through talent, environment, and colleague engagement

Candidate Profile

  • Good knowledge of regional and local market HR practices in various locations in APAC
  • Matrix management of self and business required - collaborating across geographical boundaries recognising and leveraging diversity across multiple stakeholders
  • Matrix and multiple project/programme management experience
  • Commercial business partnership and consultancy through delivery of HR strategy clearly impacting the bottom line
  • Business Management and Divisional wide level influencing
  • Flexibility and change orientation
  • Technical HR experience implementation - including employee relations, organizational design and restructuring, change and leadership development
  • Experience in delivering change working in a new and adapting consultancy/matrix based structure with a large volume of business critical tasks
  • M&A experience, contributing to a significant business merger or acquisition
  • Global financial services background
