HR Manager


Job Summary & Responsibilities

Our client, a leading luxury brand, global manufacturer and distributor of luxury fashion, accessories and leather goods, is looking for a Human Resources Manager, based in Hong Kong. You will be responsible for Hong Kong Retail market and will manage a team of 2 people.
You will be reporting to the General Manager of Hong Kong, with a dotted lined to the Vice President, Human Resources, North Asia.
Primary Objective:
Your main mission will be to manage the recruitment, people development, employee relations, compensation and benefits of staff for the retail team for our client.
You will contribute to:

Plan / Budget

  • Develop headcount schedules and salary forecasts
  • Formulate organization plan and structure
  • Develop career plans for individuals

Learning & Development

  • Assist to identify development needs
  • Develop and monitor staff development plans


  • Carry out interviews for Retail Staff from Sales Associate and above
  • Develop relationships with external executive search and recruitment agencies

Performance Management

  • Monitor performance appraisals
  • Review problem employees and devise strategies for correction


  • Approve all HR related invoices
  • Approve Payroll Schedules
  • Approve all salary and benefits
  • Approve all reports (statutory and corporate)

Labour Relations

  • Handle any legal requirements stemming from labour disputes (eg. Court appearances)
  • Coaching, counselling and integration of new joined staff


  • Develop and implement various HR Programs to support the HK Retail Team (Rethink Retail)


  • Minimum 10 years experience in similar capacity with Multinational firms
  • University degree in Human Resources Management or Business
  • Result-oriented, detail conscious, patient, assertive
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Diplomatic communication skills
  • High in computer literacy
