Human Resource Executive

The HR generalist at Chope has a broad range of responsibilities, and an even broader scope of possibilities.

The role's primary responsibilities will be assisting with the day-to-day operational requirements of the office's HR requirements, such as assisting with recruitment, applicant management, and payroll administration. There is also space to introduce more strategic initiatives, such as improved health and wellness policies, improvements to the current scope of benefits, or a different approach towards recruitment. The small, dynamic nature of the HR department within a start-up often means that there are many opportunities for change. It only takes someone to seize them.

Ultimately, this role is what a candidate will make of it. It offers a defined set of tasks that would allow someone the space and stability to develop their skills and focus on mastery of their tasks, but also would allow a candidate to specialise in any of the 'typical' HR specialisations, taking on more of that sphere, and doing less of the rest.

We're looking for candidates that have a clear idea why they're in HR. They should believe strongly in equal, inclusive policies, and who are aware they're entrusted with what can feel like an impossible task: to represent and advocate the interests of the employee and employer with equal fervour.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the management of the end-to-end recruitment process: job boards, applicants, interviews, contracts, and onboarding
  • Administrate leave and payroll via the company's HRM and payroll software
  • Assist fellow employees with any queries they may have about the company's existing HR policies
  • Work closely with the HR HQ team to develop better ways of recruiting, retaining, and rewarding top-tier employees


Skills, Experience & Traits

  • Impeccable command of the English language
  • Able to learn the challenges and requirements of each role within the Chope office
  • Basic computer literacy in Microsoft Windows and Office suite of software
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and conscientious
  • Independent and result-driven mindset
  • Collected and cool-headed with excellent organisational skills

While not required, the following skills/experience will be favourably considered

  • Existing user of the Chope app
  • Passionate about the food and beverage industry
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience with other HRM and/or payroll software
  • Fluency in another language
