Human Resources Director – Central East Asia

The role will be responsible primarily for overseeing the delivery of operational HR across our Central East Asia Business Unit which covers China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. You will report to the Regional HR Director for Asia Pacific with a dotted line to the Central East Asia Business Unit Managing Partner. This role involves a mixture of strategic HR and tactical HR, this person will need to be comfortable rolling up their sleeves and ensuring the day-to-day HR generalist activities are positioned to support desired business outcomes. You will lead a team of HR practitioners including HR Business and partner with our Regional and Global Talent Development and Talent Acquisition Centre’s of Excellence. This role is a HR Business Partner supporting the Business Unit Managing Partner, CEA Leadership team, the Central East Asia Partners and People Leaders across the business.

In addition to the responsibility across Central East Asia Business Unit you will be a key member of the APAC HR Leadership team and HR community, contributing to and influencing HR projects across the Region.

The Individual

We are looking for a high energy resourceful HR Director, who has the gravitas and commercial acumen to the get the confidence and buy in of the Managing Partner and Partner Group. Your HR initiatives will have a direct impact on the organizations growth. You will enjoy thriving in a dynamic, fast paced business environment and adapt well to change. Your resilient and bring a ‘can do attitude’ to all you do. Your strengths will be to build trust and maintain effective working relationships, managing across diverse keys stakeholders as well as our professional consultants and technical leaders. In terms of skills those with excellent relationship building, ability to influence at a senior level, track record of HR programs and initiatives having an impact on business outcomes, and you will have a strong ability to get results through others. You bring a strong HR toolkit with a strong knowledge of Labor Laws across Central East Asia, HR Operations and have a record of successful execution and delivery of HR programs and initiatives.

You thrive on being part of the business and the HR Community. You are comfortable with a mix of Group driven HR Strategies and the autonomy to design and deliver APAC/CEA solutions where needed.

You bring strong leadership coaching skills in addition to a strong understanding of Labor Laws across China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. You understand the true HR Partner model and being a trusted advisor to your business leaders. You have experience in lifting the capability of leaders and high potential employees, building a highly engaged workforce with your business and are motivated by your HR strategies helping your businesses commercial growth.
