HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR Based in Hong Kong Jardine’ s Lookout Campus

French International School - Hong Kong

Reporting to the Executive Director, the HR Director will work closely with all Department Heads across all campuses, as well as the Board.

The HR Director will:

  • Implement the HR strategy within the organisation
  • Develop effective HR procedures and policies to reflect the School aim and focus
  • Advise on compliance and Risk Management issues
  • Introduce and drive Change Management initiatives
  • Oversee investigations and complex employee relations issues
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on cost-effective Training and Development programs
  • Act as the School externally facing representative for HR


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement human resources strategies by establishing department accountabilities, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health benefits, training and development, succession planning and employee retention.
  • Manage human resources operations recruiting and training staff. Monitor, appraise, and review staff contributions to the organization while implementing change as necessary.
  • Develop human resources financial strategy by forecasting requirements, trends, and variances to help align with financial resources and developing corrective actions.
  • Implement change management projects by identifying, communicating issues, setting priorities and proposing action plans
  • Support management by providing human resources advice
  • Guide management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing and updating policies, procedures, methods and guidelines
  • Communicate and enforce organization’s values
  • Comply with HK legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, advising management on needed actions.
  • Continuous knowledge update by participating to conferences and job fairs, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, joining professional organizations.
  • Enhance department and organization reputation by exploring opportunities to add value wherever possible


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5-year experience in a Senior HR role
  • Extensive experience in working in a complex environment implementing change management projects
  • Pragmatic results-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work professionally under pressure
  • Ability to be an influencer at all levels and maintain confidentiality
  • Fluency in English and French with outstanding communication skills (verbal and written) is a must
  • Thorough working knowledge of Hong Kong Employment Legislation
