Your key responsibilities:
This is a stand-alone senior ER role for North Asia, which requires leading and managing all ER matters including regulatory / market misconduct, sexual harassment, complaints, grievances, whistleblowing cases and sometimes support legal in significant, high profile litigation cases. The Bank requires a senior ER specialist with strong stakeholder management skills at all levels of the organisation and deep ER subject matter expertise to provide crisis-response capability and ER advisory support to country management and HR across North Asia.

Details of the Division and Team:
The Suitability and Consequence Management team is a collaborative HR function with broad scope in relation to employee suitability and conduct. Within the team, we have three pillars of responsibility working together
(1) Suitability focuses on the Fit and Proper assessments and development of in-scope senior managers against regulatory expectations,
(2) Global Employee Relations focuses on a high volume of cases of employee misconduct using regional experts with a broad base of experience, and
(3) the Centre of Excellence which is a dedicated team tasked with handling the most complex and significant cases for the bank, linking continuity of employee Suitability to Consequence Management outcomes. The Centre of Excellence also includes the team’s governance, reporting and policy management function.
This role is within Global Employee Relations and the key areas of focus include:
Management of Employee Relations cases for the North Asia and APAC region generally, ensuring delivery of effective Consequence Management with consistency and transparency to stakeholders
Provide timely and sound advice to the HR Business Advisors in the region as well as training
Participate in working groups with other investigative functions such as AFCI and GAI
Participate in special projects on a regional and global basis as required
Oversee the co-ordination and governance of Employee Relations investigations in North Asia to ensure a consistent approach across the region to meet global standards, while taking into account local legal considerations.
