Details of the Division and Team:

The Equity Financing business is a pillar of GFCT, DB’s market leading credit franchise. The APAC Equity Financing business is involved in facilitating Margin Loans to clients and the trading and execution of complex and bespoke structured derivatives for corporate clients. This role will provide exposure to the broader GFCT business in Hong Kong and beyond.

Your key responsibilities:

  • The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead global project for migration of Margin loans to Strategic infrastructure
  • Take a leading role in the FIC global re-engineering project as pertains to equity products
  • Act as EF’s central contact point for various internal DB departments (e.g. GM Central Management, Finance, Compliance, Risk, Operations, IT, etc)
  • Managing internal and external service providers
  • Management of regional cost plan
  • Cost management e.g. monitoring costs against plan and identify any excess; reviewing and approving business and travel expenses
  • Assist in obtaining DB approvals as necessary (e.g. LEC, NPA, PICC)
  • Producing strategic plans and management reports
  • Review annually with Compliance that all staff are correctly registered with the local regulators and have attended annual DB Compliance training
  • Ensure the desk’s Business Continuity Plan is up to date, compliant with GM standards and adequately tested
  • Manage global Operational Risk process
  • Ad hoc support for the Desk Head & GCT APAC COO
  • New Trade Support – NPA / NTA process
  • Assist in the monthly Volcker Trading reviews and be Volcker SME for the business
  • Be lead point on related internal and external audits

Your skills and experience:

  • 10+ years Investment Bank experience, preferably with Distressed Product or Debt background and/or operated in various parts of the business.
  • Strong understanding and institutional knowledge of how the Bank operates, able to build robust relationships with other business and infrastructure partners
  • Adaptable and culturally aware. Experience of working in a global environment preferable.
  • Strong knowledge / experience of front to back Investment Banking environment (trade capture to balance sheet)
  • Experience of operating at a senior level with decision making capabilities.
  • Accomplished communication and people management skills, demonstrated by previous roles.
  • Strong team player with integrity and discipline; demonstration and adherence to the Deutsche Bank Values & Beliefs
  • Solid understanding of Regulatory and Compliance frameworks
  • Strong control mindset
  • Ability to manage and own budgets and cost management, financial / accounting experience would be beneficial
  • Bachelor’s degree or proven long-term track record of related industry and leadership experience
