To work with IT Teams of different domains and manage IT professionals from infrastructure support services providers to perform transition, change management, release management, pro-active maintenance and service request to IT infrastructure and applications.


  • Lever key technical skills to ensure the IT infrastructure asset is built and maintained in an efficient and cost-effective manner

  • Develop and input into key technology Infrastructure Engineering Lifecycle documentation, such as component version and patch management decisions

  • Effectively manage the technical implementation and subsequent change on the IT infrastructure asset

  • A minimum of five years of experience working with IBM DataPower Gateway (DP). Hands on experience developing and implementing solutions with DP.

  • Preference given to candidates who also have experience implementing solutions with IBM Integration Bus, IBM Operational Decision Manager, Publish-Subscribe (Pub/Sub), or similar products.

  • At least five years of experience in managing and leading technical teams.

  • A demonstrated understanding of ITIL processes and working within the SDLC.

  • Ability to mentor less experienced technical personnel.

  • Advanced status reporting and communications skills that can go across levels in an organization.

  • The Technical Specialist has an overall knowledge and understanding of application development and architecture that serves as a strong base for technical expertise in a specific product or program.

  • Demonstrates expertise in conveying technical and functional concepts for a specific technical specialty. Identifies improvements to project standards to achieve high quality services/ products. Able to identify best practices and standards for the use of the product.

  • Delivers support and design for industry specific applications that require integration with statewide systems or applications.

  • Interacts with executive level business users or technical experts.

  • May function as a niche technical SME.

  • Advanced experience in the required technical subject matter.

  • Proven experience with a technical specialty across large and complex implementations and systems.

  • Involve in designing, running and monitoring the infrastructure to support IIB / MQ servers

  • Create MQ objects like Queue Managers, Queues, Channels, Listeners etc.

  • Execution Group setup and Configuration

  • Experience on MQ backup & recovery

  • Providing authorization to MQ objects as per application

  • Setting up the connectivity between API Connect and IIB

  • Troubleshooting issues during the project deliverables

  • Working with IBM on product related issues

  • Supporting large scale WebSphere infrastructures with multiple middle ware products

  • Applying fix packs/patches

  • Setup for logging (Event and Audit), SDI/GMI Service (Registry file on the Mainframe), local cache, QPASA for alerting of message consumption on queues and WSRR Connectivity

  • SSL setup (1-way, 2-way)

  • Setup of SFTP configurable services and DSN

  • Should have technical leadership skills and the ability to articulate and compare Alternatives

  • Should be able to address client’s needs and pain points

  • Integrating WebSphere Application Server/ WebSphere Portal Server and Deployment manager with IBM HTTP Server/Sun ONE Web Server, Oracle and DB2

  • Automating manual process using tools and scripts

  • Technical degree holder with minimum of 6 years IT experience, at least 5 years of IT Infrastructure experience.

  • Must have proven technical experience of working in a complex IT infrastructure environment

  • Ability to listen and articulate ideas verbally, and in the written form, to a broad range of audiences; ability to ask probing questions and deliver technical internal presentations

  • Ability to work well with others and as part of a technical team

  • Well-developed analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and critical thinking skills, leveraging both logic and creativity; strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills; ability to identify patterns and generate informed ideas

  • Focus on the business and end user’s needs; ability to set expectations and understand end user behaviour

  • Ability and willingness to proactively accept, and drive, change to accomplish positive outcomes

  • Ability to understand strategy and align tactical and strategic work in a well-balanced way

  • Must have knowledge of how to lever technology to reduce operational costs and delivery business innovation in a fast moving and dynamic industry sector

  • Professional competency in at least one technical specialization, with broad understanding of other current and emerging technologies.

  • Workplace engineering
  • Desktop standard operating environment

  • Cirrato, Printer drivers and print queues deployment

  • Airport System Devices such as boarding pass printer, baggage tag printer, boarding gate reader and scanner

  • MS Windows / MS Exchange & Lync / Active Directory / MS Office 365 and other productivity tools
