Information Technology Officer (PR0064/21-22)

The appointee will be responsible for a) development, maintenance and enhancement of information systems; b) collection of users’ requirements and preparation of functional requirements documents; c) server administration; d) ensuring normal operation of computer facilities and information systems; e) performing in-house computer seminars and user trainings; and f) support special projects as assigned.

Applicants should have a recognised degree in IT/Computer Science or related disciplines. They should have at least five years of work experience and minimum 2 years of solid experience in application design and development by using JAVA, PHP, Linux Shell Script. Knowledge of and experience in JSF, cloud-based system development and DevOps are preferred. Experience in managing system development projects with vendors, project management and Linux server administration are also preferred. The appointee should possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills with patience, and ability to meet deadlines and multitask. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Candidates with less work experience will also be considered.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
