Engineering Discipline

Major Duties:
(a) To perform teaching duties including student assessment, operating and maintaining training facilities and equipment to support teaching and learning;
(b) To provide support in programme operations;
(c) To prepare and update teaching and assessment materials;
(d) To assist in programme development and review of programme curriculum;
(e) To assist in coordinating / organizing special events and competitions;
(f) To perform duties in relation to student administration including student admission and records, job placement and other student activities;
(g) To implement quality assurance policies; and
(h) To maintain and enhance networks with the industry and related associations.

(a) A recognized higher diploma in Building Services / Construction / Mechanical / Electrical / Electronic / Computer / Information Engineering, or equivalent;
(b) At least 3 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry;
(c) Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese;
(d) Good knowledge of basic computer applications; and
(e) The ability to pass a trade test.

(1) Candidates without the required academic qualification stated in the General Requirement (a) but possessing 8 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry may also apply. Where applicable, these candidates may be required to have a Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 3 qualification.
(2) The appointee may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and in designated places as assigned.
