We are now inviting application(s) for the following post for the Independent Learning and Study Skills Pack in the Educational Technology and Publishing Unit. The Study Skills Pack involves the creation of a website and a collection of study skills materials in online/multimedia format that aims to assist students in developing their study skills and becoming independent learners.

Interactive Learning Material Writer (Freelance)


The appointee will be responsible for writing interactive learning materials for reading skills such as identifying main purpose; distinguishing relevant from irrelevant information, understanding main point of paragraphs; reading strategies, etc. He/She will also provide cases and scenarios, and design infographics, interactive activities or games to enhance student learning.


Applicants should have a relevant higher degree in education, with substantial knowledge and professional experience in the field. Applicants should also possess creative and innovative capacities to develop unconventional teaching and learning materials.   

Applicants are required to submit a brief outline (no more than one page) of how to enhance their reading skills (any one of the reading skills mentioned before) through the use of creative games, interactive activities and scenarios. Topic examples: How to distinguish relevant from irrelevant information, how to understand main point of paragraphs, etc.

Terms of Appointment:

Successful candidates will be appointed on a freelance basis.
