Carrefour is seeking for experienced IT professionals to join them as an IT Business Analyst / Product Owner - Business Application at their Asia IT office in Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong.

Job profile

  • Managerial position reporting to the IT Application Manager and assist the Product Owner
  • Monthly travel to Shanghai and Taipei (approximately 3 days every month in each location). Occasional travel to other location on work need basis
  • Involve in all aspects of the system development, change request and support
    • Project planning and coordination with IT partners and business users
    • Analyze business request and translate it into application functional request
    • Perform impact analysis on business processes and system
    • Review functional specification
    • Write and review functional test cases
    • Manage change request and the subsequent impact to the project timeline and cost
    • Coordinate and execute system integration test and user acceptance test
    • Perform user training
    • Application go-live support 
    • Coordinate, prepare and perform handover of the application to the production support team 
    • Advanced application functional troubleshooting
    • Review and define functional rules for functional bug correction
  • For company Agile transformation process, play the Product Owner role to:
    • Create and maintain the product vision in collaboration with Business Teams
    • Collect and prioritize incoming stories to create the product backlog
    • Prioritize the product backlog during the sprint planning meeting
    • Track sprint status and raise any velocity issues
    • Update stakeholders on project status
  • Report project and performance KPI to management, and put improvement action plans in place

Mandatory experience

  • Minimum 3 years experience as IT business analyst in FMCG and retail industry
  • Experience in working directly with developers and checking their deliverables
  • Experience in functional specification and test cases writing

Mandatory requirements

  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skill 
  • Ability to self-learn from training material, specification and other documentation
  • Ability to write PL/SQL query (for troubleshooting and checking test results)
  • Good understanding of the functional analysis, coding, build, testing, automation, deployment, knowledge transfer, environment management, and operation processes/tasks
  • A good writer
  • Intermediate Linux administration and scripting skills
  • Ability to write PL/SQL query (for troubleshooting and checking test results)

Added advantage

  • Experience in IBM Rational (Application Lifecycle Management)
  • Experience in business process re-engineering 
  • Experience in collaborating remotely
  • Familiar with data driven application architecture
  • SCRUM Product Owner certification
