IT Manager/IT Officer (several posts) in the Information Technology Services (ITS) (Ref.: 494140) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT) related discipline with at least 6 years' relevant experience for the IT Manager post. Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as IT Officer. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of IT Service Management (e.g. ITIL) and Project Management (e.g. PRINCE2) is an advantage.
Applicants should have good knowledge and relevant experience in at least one of the following areas to support the services of ITS:
(a) Systems and Cloud services
Those with experience in infrastructure design, implementation and operation; technological areas like Cloud, Office 365, Exchange and SharePoint; software-defined data centre functions, such as network, storage and compute functions; and knowledge of DevOps, IoT technologies, Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and ITIL CMDB processes will have advantages.
(b) Client and Virtual Desktop services
Those with experience in Microsoft applications such as Exchange and SharePoint will have an advantage.
(c) Network services
Those with experience in data centre design and capacity planning, facilities management and operation, backup management; campus network of universities or large corporations; and OpenStack, container technology, DevOps and hypervisors such as VMWare, vSphere and KVM will have advantages.
(d) Information Security (IS) services
Those with knowledge of identity and access management; IS governance, risk and compliance; experience in application development related to IS; and qualifications of CISSP and CISA will have advantages.
(e) Mobile/web/AI applications development
Those with experience in big data and nosql databases (NoSQL, ELK, MongoDB); and knowledge of artificial intelligence (chatbot, machine learning, deep learning, tensorflow, CNN, RNN, etc.), location-based systems and blockchain will have advantages.
