Role Purpose

As the IT Support officer you will be responsible for delivering 1st and 2nd level support on all aspects of IT, working with the APAC IT team and also Global Service Desk. You will approach your area of responsibility from both a technical and user’s viewpoint. You will work in line with the standards and working practices established within the IT group.

The role will involve end user support, with windows and macs computers to be managed as well as network devices, video conference rooms, telephone systems, etc.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide all aspects of IT support for head office and HK operations
  • To provide network maintenance and administration tasks as directed; ensuring all necessary control documentation is completed.
  • Support the Implementation of both Corporate and Local IS Systems
  • Setup of laptops, desktops, mobiles etc in accordance to IT policy and procedures.
  • Ensure all requests are processed in accordance with company policy and procedure
  • Ensure the prompt resolution of any user complaints
  • Deal with all post implementation problems e.g. functionality that does not work, training that was missed, incorrect system configuration
  • To train users where appropriate to improve their skills base and improve their utilisation of the technology available to them.

Job Requirements

  • Degree, Diploma or TAFE certificate preferred
  • 3 + years experience in desktop support environment supporting both hardware and software
  • Printer Support and Configuration
  • Good knowledge of windows and macs machines
  • Can display good technical knowledge of one or more server backup systems
  • Microsoft products Installation/configuration, especially Outlook and Office
  • Knowledge of VOIP systems is preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good problem solving ability and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight time frames
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • MS Office Applications – all versions
  • MS Exchange Server
  • Apple products support (Macs, iPads etc)
  • Experience with Global Active Directory is preferred
