IT Technician in the Information Technology Services (ITS) (Ref.: 494165) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)

Applicants should possess a degree or a higher diploma in Information Technology (IT) related disciplines and at least 3 years' relevant post-qualification experience in configuration of PC and applications and classroom support services. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, and good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of IT Service Management (e.g. ITIL) and Project Management (e.g. PRINCE2) is an advantage. They should also have good knowledge and relevant experience in the following areas and perform the duties as assigned:

  • setting up, operating, maintaining and supporting a variety of client computer equipment including Windows/Mac PCs/laptops, virtual PCs, and providing resolution of related problems; and
  • setting up and managing audio-visual equipment including data projectors, video conferencing and sound systems in central learning spaces and other venues.

The appointee will carry out duties across an extended working day (8 am to 8 pm) according to a roster. He/She will be required to work evening shifts, during weekends and on public holidays occasionally.
