Japan Sales Director, FMCG (Station in Tokyo)

Our client is an US international FMCG company with an established presence in Japan.  They are looking for a high caliber Sales Director level candidate to manage and increase their sales for their brands in the Japanese market.


Key responsibilities:

  • Report to regional director based in Hong Kong
  • Improving sales performance in terms of overall turnover, profitability, share of market and product category performance.
  • Work within the global brand strategies, to formulate and to implement the sales strategy for distribution in the Japan market
  • Recruit, coach, supervise and motivate the sales staff with the objective to maintaining the agreed level of productivity while sustaining the team stability and morale.
  • Prepare annual & periodic sales forecast, setting budget and develop customer plans



  • College or University degree preferred.
  • Over 7 years of solid wholesale & mass channel experience in a FMCG and marketing environment
  • Entrepreneurial with strong interpersonal, communications & presentation skills.
  • Fluency in both English & Japanese languages are required.
