An international corporate bank is looking for an all-rounded HR candidate to serve as a one-man-band covering all-rounded HR functions in Hong Kong. Candidates must be familiar with HKMA regulations and have hands-on payroll experience.
Our client is a leading financial institution based in the UAE. Their global network stretches across 19 countries worldwide through strong partnerships with local, regional, and international organisations. They are looking for an HR Officer to cover all-rounded HR functions in Hong Kong.
Working closely with counterparts in international locations the successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
Handle full scope of HR operations including recruitment, compensation and benefits, payroll processing, performance management, and employee relations
Be responsible for staff payroll and commission payments including liaising with external vendors and manually preparing monthly payroll cycle
Support staff throughout employee lifecycle handling contracts, employee relations, policy interpretation, and coordinating benefits regionally
Preparation of contracts, working visas, on- and off-boarding arrangements, and MPF enrolment for both local and expatriate staff
Support the recruitment team with interview scheduling - liaising with candidates, managers and/or their assistants to book interviews
Ensure that the organisation is compliant with HKMA guidelines for bank regulations and standards
Manage and develop relationships with both external vendors and counterparts within the industry
Participate in regional and/or corporate projects as assigned
Degree holder in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or other related disciplines
3-5 years of relevant experience in a generalist or C&B-focused HR role, manual payroll experience is a must
Experience in banking and financial institutions is necessary
Candidate must be well-versed in HKMA regulations and HK Labour Ordinance
Extremely organised, detail-oriented, flexible, and ability to multi-task
Proactive team player with ability to work independently and in a virtual setting with regional and international counterparts
Comfortable to be the only HR person sitting in Hong Kong
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
