The Firm

One of the sizable and well-known International Law Firms with well-established system in Central is expanding their legal secretarial support team. They are currently hiring a junior legal secretary role for the Hong Kong team.

The Opportunity

Supporting around 5-6 fee earners, your main responsibilities will include both documentation preparation and general secretarial support work:

  • Providing full-spectrum secretarial support to the lawyers such as jotting phone messages, making appointments, calendar management and preparing meeting materials etc.
  • Opening legal matters and maintaining the e-filing system
  • Handling travel booking and meeting arrangement
  • Preparing BD Pitching materials for meetings
  • Editing legal documents and drafting simple letters / emails on behalf of the lawyers
  • Handling medical and expenses claims
  • Applying work visa if necessary
  • Setting up team meetings and conference calls
  • Assisting the Company Secretary to conduct the basic company research and related paperwork
  • Preforming Chinese typing and formatting for Corporate legal work
  • Entering time and preparing monthly bills
  • Updating clients’ record on database
  • Preparing bundles for court filing on Litigation work
  • Ad hoc administrative support to the team

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate should have the following requirements:

  • Degree holder / high diploma holder with excellent English communication ability
  • At least 1 year working experience in legal support functions, preferably from law firms
  • Knowledge of Chinese typing, and MS Word Processing will be required
  • Energetic, flexible, hard-working, responsible and detail minded candidates are highly preferred
