Junior Sous Chef

As the Junior Sous Chef, you will be responsible for

• Assist Head Chef to supervise the Kitchen and Stewarding team.
• Assist in the preparation and design of all food menus.
• Produce high quality plates both design & tastes wise.
• Ensure the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our standard.
• Manage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff's performance.
• Ensure the co-ordination between all chefs and back of house staffs in the kitchen resulting in a smooth operation.
• Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
• Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards.

The ideal candidate must have/be

• At least 5 years culinary experience in an international hotel or high-end restaurant.
• Supervisory experience in culinary industry.
• Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
• Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Up-to-date culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
• Extensive knowledge of French culinary terms and techniques
• Knowledge in conversational French is a plus.
• Detail oriented, well organized, self-motivated and demonstrate great passion in food and constantly drive for perfection.
