Key Account Manager – Online Sales, Japan

(Stationed in Tokyo, candidate legally allowed working in Japan is highly preferable)

MISSION

Working within the consumer sales organization, you will be actively supporting the development of the online business in Japan, in accordance with the Brand's strategic objectives and general country commercial strategy.

The role will be focused on (in priority as below):

  1. Driving the company’s online business on existing marketplaces, especially Amazon.
  2. Activating new online platforms in line with the 2019 strategy.
  3. Relaunching the corporate e-Commerce platform.

The role requires the ability to manage third-party platforms and accounts, directly and/or through 3rd party agencies.

The candidate will work in a start-up environment.

The role requires the ability to influence, strengthen and manage the relationship with internal business departments to create synergies between online and offline activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Online Sales Management:

  • You will be managing the relationship/contact with Amazon Japan and will be in charge of regularly maintaining our vendor central account directly and/or via 3rd party agencies.
  • You will help start-up new online accounts and/or marketplaces in line with the company’s 2019 budget and strategies.
  • You will assist management in formulating and implementing sales strategies and business plans to generate sales and marginality in line with company’s targets and expectations covering our online channels.
  • You will assist in relaunching our corporate e-Commerce platform.
  • You will coordinate with the marketing team to define digital marketing strategies and promotions to increase traffic, AOV, CR %, AMS and sales performance with the aim to deliver the best online customer experience.
  • You will monitor the business and its KPIs reporting regularly to the management, sharing best practices and highlighting areas of risks with an analytical mind.
  • You will also be responsible for:
    • The definition of the product launch schedule, in accordance with the general Japan launch plan, of local stock availability and market needs, ensuring coordination across all the online platforms.
    • The business and product stocks forecasting by season ensuring product availability matches launch timing and is aligned to budget.
    • Running store operation activities cross platform.
    • Uploading and updating products, imagery and product descriptions on our platforms when required.
    • Guarantee and execute ecommerce product launches via different e-channels and define marketing plan in line with regional policies and guidelines.
    • Tracking campaign results and adapting them in real time with responsiveness and flexibility.
    • Being able to generate campaign reports at different depth levels.
    • Guarantee alignment with the other business channels.

Internal Communication:

  • Identify digital best practices across the channels to promote the cooperation between areas.
  • Ensure operations/logistic department will guarantee on time replenishment according to ecommerce needs.
  • Coordinate with brand & communication department in order to guarantee ecommerce platform exposure and traffic.
  • Be updated on the latest news, technologies and platform evolutions.
  • Supporting the APAC and global e-Commerce team, in order to create efficiencies and synergies between countries.

IDEAL PROFILE

  • Degree holder or above, major in Business, Marketing, Management or related disciplines preferable
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience related to online business management (operations, digital marketing and strategy).
  • Good expertize in managing marketplaces: either as a vendor selling on the platform or developed internally within the marketplace organization.
  • Strong understanding of branding as a key asset for business development: coming from a branded goods online distribution highly preferred.
  • Understanding of marketing and operational trends of the e-Commerce industry in Japan.
  • Strong quantitative skills applied to business management and monitoring.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Proficiency in MS Windows and Office, good Excel knowledge.
  • Outgoing, self-driven, flexible and positive attitude with good communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • The candidate will start working in a start-up environment. A flexible and adapting mindset is therefore required.
  • Native/super fluent Japanese speaking and writing
  • Excellent command of English in overall communications
  • Legally allowed working in Japan without application for Japan work visa is highly preferred
  • Immediate available is definitely an advantage
