Lab Research Assistant - R&D x 3

Contract Term - Contractor role with full benefits
Fanling location - shuttle provided in Choi Hung at 8.15am

Hours:  9am to 5.30pm (Monday to Friday)

Due to business expansion, they are seeking high caliber candidates to join their new Product Development Team, providing innovative plating solution to fulfill the rapidly advancing technology needs for electronic devices.

* eligible to work in HK, Cantonese required
* 1-Year Contractor role with full benefits
* Fanling location - shuttle provided in Choi Hung at 8.15am (5 days 9am to 5.30pm)

Position 1. Research Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
•    Perform plating test on sample substrates
•    Operate analytical instrument, e.g. Auto-titrator, UV-Vis, ICP-OES, metallurgical microscope
•    Record experimental data, generate test result and maintain database
•    Assist in new method development for assessing plating quality
•    Actively participate in Safety, health & environment program to ensure a high standard of workplace safety.

Qualifications:
•    Higher Diploma, Associate Degree or bachelor’s degree or above in in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical
Engineering or any other science & engineering disciplines
•    0 – 1 year of working experience in lab.
•    Proficient in MS office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word). Experience with image analysis and software such as ImageJ, Python will be an advantage.
•    Good interpersonal & communication skills, attentive to details and good team player.

Position 2. Research Assistant (HK Shared Lab)
Key responsibilities:
•    Conduct materials analysis, including data analysis and reports on findings.
•    Develop analytical methods to conduct failure analysis and correlate material properties to performance results.
•    Work with other researchers to support product development and processes.
•    Operate and maintain lab equipment and facilities.
•    Actively participate in EH&S programs to ensure high standard of safety.

Qualification:
•    Bachelor or above in Materials Science, Material Engineering or Physics.
•    At least 1 year of experience in instrumentation and laboratory work.
•    Knowledge in crystallography or microscopy is preferred.
•    IT Knowledge about hardware and software installation and network setup is an advantage.
•    Experience in performing statistical analysis, mathematical modeling, programming and/or 3D drawing, using Excel script, JMP, ImageJ, Matlab, AutoCAD, Solidworks etc. is a plus.
•    Able to think out of the box about method development and troubleshooting.
•    Willing to acquire new scientific knowledge outside the original educational background.
•    Independent, strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent team player.
•    Good command of English and Chinese.

Position 3. R&D Research Assistant (Lab Execution Team)
Key Responsibilities:
•    Operate analytical instrument, e.g. Auto-titrator, UV-Vis, ICP-OES, metallurgical microscope
•    Record experimental data and generate test result
•    Perform data extraction and maintain database for further data analytics
•    Assist in automation of data generation and data analysis of images & spectrum via programming
•    Actively participate in Safety, health & environment program to ensure a high standard of workplace safety.
Qualifications:
•    Higher Diploma or bachelor’s degree or above in in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering or any other science & engineering disciplines
•    0 – 1 year of working experience in lab;
•    Knowledge and experience in programming languages, such as Python, Tableau, etc
•    Knowledge and experience in image processing software, e.g. ImageJ, Fastone
•    Proficient in MS office (Excel, PowerPoint & Word)
•    Good interpersonal & communication skills, creative, attentive to details and good team player.
•    Experience in printed circuit board or any electroplating industry will be a plus
•    Knowledge in basic statistics is preferred
